In accordance with the first paragraph of Article 31/B which came into force on 13 June 2012 of the Insurance Law No: 5684, Insurance Information and Monitoring Center was established to collect information and to ensure that the information shared with the people to be determined by the Repuclic of Turkey the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and insurance, reinsurance and pension companies; regarding the insured and the beneficiaries of the insurance contracts. The main objective is collecting the sector data in a secure center, to provide reliable, meaningful information and statistics to ensure that the sector is able to make fair pricing, to increase the trust in the insurance system by preventing abuses and to enable public oversight.
